Eat Healthy Guide

Do you remember when food really did taste so good when we were cooking with pork fat and frying bacon for breakfast, frying eggs, making biscuits with fresh buttermilk, we did not know at the time that would be considered a eat healthy guide and we were all skinny as a rail. We lived on natural products. From what I have learned from my research, we would have to live on a farm, have a cow or two, our own beef and pork and most of all a big garden with fresh vegetables for freezing and canning. Our own well and lots of help to take care of all of the hard work. No more fast foods. Since so many of us live in big cities, fast foods is what we survive on!

We are so busy that grabbing a fast meal is the only option we have, running here and there that some times we forgot the taste of our last bite.
Low fat diets, low carbohydrates and exercise is the ticket to energy, health and and normal weight.
But does this theory work? It seems from my research that natural fats are the way to get your health back, along with organic vegetables! Listed below are some things we should incorporate into our diet t
to gain back out health and and energy
I have read some reports on results from using all natural fats and organic foods and the results have been all positive!
  • Gluten Free
  • Mostly Dairy Free
  • Sugar Free
  • Carbohydrate Controlled

Have you watched chef's on your favorite cook shows? How many of the Celebrity Chefs have normal weight! If you have watched them over the years, you have seen them start off looking much trimmer than they are today! They just seem to blossom more from day to day! Their fingers are so fat that it looks hard to make them work properly. They have no idea about healthy foods or nutrition.

We seem to be brain washed on how to be fashionable, gain weight and fat is beautiful! What if "almost everything you have been told about nutrition and weight loss is making us all fat, sick, depressed and diseased."
If you walk through the malls or the grocery stores, it is amazing how many people are obese and their children are on the same path., Obesity brings on high blood pressure, diabetics, high cholesterol and short life span.

Vegetable Juice for Health & Vitality!

As more and more people begin to drink fresh home-made juice for health reasons, it is vegetable juice that is being recognized as the perfect way of revitalizing the body and protecting it against disease.
Regularly juicing vegetables can have an enormous impact on your health, and of the many benefits of drinking vegetable juices my top three are:
  • Improved Immunity Against Disease
  • More Energy
  • Better Digestion

1. Improved Immunity
The number one benefit of drinking vegetable juice for me has got to be the improved immunity against infections and disease. The immune boosting effect has meant that vegetable juices have become part of most nutritional therapies in the battle against many serious illnesses. The anti-oxidants in vegetable juice help to cleanse the blood which is good news for the heart, liver, and kidneys, and the chlorophyll in leafy greens helps to build red blood cells. As well as the vitamins and minerals the phyto (plant) chemicals in vegetables are also powerful anti-oxidants which help to detoxify and prevent disease.
2. More Energy
Drinking vegetable juice is a great way of increasing energy levels as many of the nutrients are converted by the body into energy. The cleansing and detoxifying effect transforms the whole body from being tired and sluggish, to more like an energy efficient well oiled machine. The energy saved in drinking vegetable juice instead of having to digest the whole food can be used by the body in other ways, such as in healing.

3. Better Digestion
Raw food contains digestive enzymes which ease the burden on the digestive system, these enzymes are only present in raw food as they are destroyed during cooking. Digesting food uses a tremendous amount of energy which can be apparent when you feel very sleepy after a heavy meal. The cleansing effect juicing has on the digestive system means less toxic undigested food remaining in the intestines and an easier absorption of nutrients.
More About Juicing!
Fruit Juice?
So, why vegetable juice and not fruit juice? The problem with juicing fruit can be the high sugar content which isn't suitable for anyone who is over weight, has diabetes, or high blood pressure. Although, you need to be aware that some root vegetables such as beets and carrots are also high in sugar. Juicy fruit is high in liquid content, so if you enjoy fruit and there's no health problem, why not just eat it whole?
Most people would agree that the big advantage fruit juice has over vegetable juice is the taste, (because of the high sugar content in fruit).
A Matter of Taste
For many people the biggest drawback in drinking vegetable juice is the taste, which is usually because they have an unhealthy acidic diet, and vegetables are alkaline in nature. This means the taste of many of the stronger vegetable juices can take some getting used to, so it's best to juice the milder tasting ones to start with. However, if someone is going to be drinking vegetable juice for health reasons, it's reasonable to assume that they will also be improving their diet, which will go some way in helping to solve this problem. Most folks sweeten up vegetable juice by including an apple or two in the mix, apple is generally accepted as being suitable to juice with vegetables.
Raw Vegetable Goodness
Raw vegetables are packed with vitamins, minerals, and phyto (plant) chemicals, and drinking the juice from vegetables means that the nutrients can be consumed in tremendous amounts as you aren't having to digest the fibre of the whole food. The high amount of nutrients in vegetable juice are consumed in their natural state making them easily assimilated into the body. Vegetable juices are a great way of getting your five a day (and more) and can help to make sure picky eaters (usually children) get theirs.
When to Juice?
The best time to have vegetable juice is in the morning before you eat anything, this means that the digestive tract is clear of undigested food. Other times of the day are just before meals, certainly not just after, it's best to wait three or four hours after a meal before drinking juice.

Preparation: No need to be over elaborate here, just wash and cut into suitable pieces to be able to fit into the juicer.
Which Juicer?
Choosing a juicer usually comes down to two things, your state of health and your state of wealth. There are many types of juicers around, it depends on the quality of juice required and how much you're willing to pay. Centrifugal juicers shred the vegetables and separate the juice and fibre, and masticating juicers extract the juice by a chewing action, the latter is preferred as the way in which the juice is extracted destroys far less of the nutrients. A good juicing machine will last longer, be more reliable, likely be easier to clean, and importantly will yield a good quality juice.
Energy for Life!
Whether it is for general well-being or to help in the recovery from illness, there isn't a better way of cleansing and nourishing the body. For better immunity against disease, good digestion, and more energy for life, begin drinking vegetable juice for health and vitality!
Pete is passionate about self help, and believes that regularly drinking healthy juices is the best way to maintain or recover good health.

Caloric Restriction Method

Calorie restriction is an effective method of reducing calorie intake to slow down the process of aging. It is also known as an anti aging diet plan. Recent research conducted into caloric restriction concludes that the life span of several animals like (monkeys, spiders, rats) is extended in case of calorie intake restriction. The problem with this anti aging process is that adequate nutrition must be included in your diet when you start the fasting.

How Does It Work

The purpose of calorie restriction with sufficient nutrition is to improve immunity while increasing the population of T-cells, lowering the level of triiodothyronine and cytokine interleukin-6. The connection between anti aging and calorie restriction may be a result of efficient immunity, which reduces the disease susceptibility. Some people call it fasting process in which they need to limit intake of dietary to an amount of 25-30 percent while eating the diet with adequate micronutrients and lean protein. Recent scientist research has proven that there are some pathways of molecular that influence the process of aging. Fasting also increases immunity performance and inhibit molecular pathways interfering with the process of aging. The reduction of fats, proteins and carbohydrates in caloric restriction may work well by reducing the amount of harmful proteins and glycation like protein molecules and sugar.

While following this anti aging program, nutrition diet should be taken. Nutrient dense, low calorie foods like fruits and vegetables are chosen over high carbohydrate, sugars and other items. A person should seek the assistance of the expert on nutrition and have a daily check-up with their anti aging expert.

Why We Need To Fellow Calorie Restriction Program

Research model on rats shows that such individuals who consume a lot of calories have a short life span. If people restrict their calorie intake over lifetimes, their life span increase from 3 to 7 percent or even up to 20 years achieved by following drastic calorie restriction. There are many benefits of calorie restrictions including improved function of immune system, low blood pressure, improve heath of cardiovascular, improve function of thyroid, increased hormone level and reduced risk of lymphoma, autoimmune disease, certain cancer and kidney disease.

Despite calorie restriction promise to increase life span, it remains a quite misunderstood lifestyle. Some people associated it with constant huger, fasting, near-starvation and malnutrition due to inadequate intake of nutrients. If the calorie restriction food is undertaken correctly, it gives you a healthy living accompanied by weight loss and other health benefits.

Robert Bernard is a antiaging expert who is conducting special anti-aging fasting and cleansing programs in Central Europe.

A Spotlight on Your Kidneys

How often do you think about your kidneys? Did you know that kidney disease is the 9th leading cause of death in the United States, more than breast cancer or prostate cancer? Over 26 million Americans currently have kidney disease but many more may not yet be diagnosed or even aware of problems as there are frequently no symptoms until the disease has progressed. One in three people are at risk for kidney disease due to diabetes, high blood pressure or family history. March is National Kidney Month and the National Kidney Foundation is urging everyone to give your kidneys a second thought.

Your kidneys are two fist sized organs located in your lower back. Although we are generally born with two kidneys, you only need one functioning kidney to live a normal, healthy life.

Kidneys work hard to keep your body healthy and their remarkable functions include:

• Filtering waste out of 200 liters of blood daily

• Regulating the body's salt, potassium and acid content

• Removing drugs from the body

• Balancing the body's fluids

• Releasing hormones that regulate blood pressure

• Producing an active form of vitamin D

• Controlling production of red blood cells.

Kidney disease means that the kidneys are damaged and can't filter blood they way they should. Main causes of kidney disease include: high blood pressure, diabetes, recurrent kidney infections that may have caused scarring, inherited diseases, overuse of over-the-counter pain medications, illegal drug use and traumatic injury. Symptoms of kidney disease may not be detectable until the disease has progressed. Symptoms may include: swelling of the face or ankles, changes in urine frequency or color, foamy urine, nausea, vomiting, changes in taste, numbness of fingers or toes, and fatigue or exhaustion. Caught early, treatment of kidney disease is very effective. But kidney disease is a progressive disease, meaning the damage can't be undone.

If you have kidney disease, diet changes will play a big role in maintaining your health. You may need to watch your protein intake, as too much protein can cause waste to buildup in your blood, making it harder for the kidneys to remove. Watching your sodium intake is important to help control your blood pressure and limit fluid buildup. Too little or too much potassium can be dangerous; the amount you need depends on how well your kidneys are functioning and what medications you are on. As kidney function decreases, you may need to watch your phosphorus and calcium intake. Extra phosphorus can build up and result in weak bones. You may also need to restrict your fluids. All of these specific nutrition needs can be calculated for you by a Registered Dietitian. In addition to diet changes, you will be treated with medications.

Should your kidney function continue to decline, you may need dialysis. Hemodialysis uses a machine to help filter and cleanse your blood. If you a candidate, you might be eligible for a kidney transplant, either from a living donor or from a recently deceased donor. The current waiting list for kidney transplants is about 3.5 years.

Prevention is the best cure for kidney disease, so follow these tips for healthy kidneys:

• Stay hydrated. Kidneys need hydration to work properly as they filter out waste through your urine.

• Eat a healthy balanced diet. Eat foods high in antioxidants to promote kidney health. Antioxidants are abundant in fruits and vegetables, including red bell peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, garlic, and berries.

• Lower your sodium intake. Too much sodium can increase high blood pressure, which can damage the kidneys.

• Control your blood glucose. Diabetes is a major contributor to kidney disease because it damages blood vessels in the body that prevent the kidneys from working properly.

• Live a healthy life. Don't smoke, get plenty of exercise, maintain a healthy weight, use alcohol in moderation, and avoid illegal drugs.

Be Happy With The Healthy Life

It is very important to be healthy and maintain a Healthy Life but it is just as important to be happy in your life. Dieting, exercise, this doesn't have to be hard. When it becomes a struggle to diet and/or exercise, it's not fun anymore and your happiness in life may deteriorate.

If you need to diet, take it slow. Seek out a proper diet that you will lose over a period of time. Exercise is great but if you are just starting, again, take it slow. Too much exercise, when you're not used to it, can be harmful.

We now have greater awareness of our bodies through the sciences, the media, etc. The benefits of a healthy life are obvious to us all. To achieve the healthy life is not done by simply going to your local pharmacy and picking up some drugs.

A healthy life and a happy life is a combination of many things acting together. Because of the way our foods are grown and processed today, we need to start with a good, all natural supplement. The next ingredient is eating proper, and in proper portions. And, of course, along with these is proper and limited exercise.

It doesn't just stop with what to do... now comes when to do it. To maintain the healthy life and happy life, you cannot take a nutritional supplement once in a while, eat proper foods now and then, and exercise a couple times a month. This is what people do that always ask the question, "Why am I not losing weight?"

Once you start a routine, stay on it. Not for a week or a month, stay on it... period.

Think about this, you will not only look and feel healthier, your new eating and exercising routine will also reduce your risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease. You will see other benefits like, reduced costs of health care, reducing illnesses and injuries, fewer visit to doctors, etc.

Diet and exercise will lower blood pressure, reduce weight and lower the risk of developing diabetes. Exercise and a healthy diet helps the body use insulin more efficiently and can help control, reduce and prevent many diseases. Exercising, eating foods high in fiber, weight control, and learn to deal with stress, reduce the risk of heart disease.

Also... If you eat healthy food, exercise and pay attention to your body you will certainly life a longer, healthy and happy life.

Living healthy is important for everyone. This is a truth with which no one can disagree. And the matter is not that you will live longer due to following instructions for a healthy life. The matter is in the quality of your life: it will substantially improve. You will be living a healthy life and thus feel happy, work more efficiently and be able to reach the goals you set.

A few tips to follow:
If you want to make your meals healthier, forget the fast food and ready-to-cook meals. They have artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives that your digestive system will not like. By staying away from these products, you will pretty-much have no choice but to eat more vegetables, fruits, fish, meat, cereals and dairy products. You don't need a rigid diet, just proper portions of healthy foods plus your all natural nutritional supplement.

Only one more thing to remember, walking. Walk a lot. It's very good for you and your metabolism. Park your car out farther in the parking lot and walk. Do this at work, at the shopping mall, at the grocery store, everywhere you go. Not only is this good for you, it will also save a few dents in your car from other car doors.

Have a healthy life and a happy life.

Water, The Elixir Of A Healthy Life

My parents continue to teach me. It seems you never grow out of that role of student with your parents. Lesson: good health and living a green lifestyle are closely linked.

I'm not saying that if you live a green life, eat whole and organic foods, exercise, and get lots of sleep that you'll always be healthy, but I am saying that you can hedge your bets with a few simple routines, and live a healthier life than if you ignore these routines.

Have you ever stopped to consider how infections and dehydration are related? Or how they impact your life, health, and sense of well-being? This is an invitation to stop and consider it. The lesson my parents just gave me was about the dangers of dehydration and infections, especially under-treated infections, and in seniors.

My Bigger Half and I went to visit Rock and No-Nonsense, and help host a family celebration. Upon arrival we learned No-Nonsense was suffering with vertigo, and a UTI (urinary tract infection). Because moving about was disorienting for No-Nonsense she wasn't drinking much water (think about the ramifications of both drinking the water, and the after effects if moving makes you nauseous). No amount of urging her to drink water made a change in her behavior. Not even her doctor could sway her determination to not drink much water!

Ok, fine, she "gets" to live her life her way, a hard lesson for this daughter to accept when she used to be the epitome of healthy habits. I even heard Rock mumble something under his breath about leading a horse to water, so I know I'm not the only one experiencing a bit of frustration here.

The second night of our visit Rock found No-Nonsense struggling unsuccessfully to get into bed, so he called me up to help. That's when we found her disoriented and not acting like herself. I changed from my daughter hat to my EMT hat and started asking her questions while waiting for My Bigger Half to bring the stethoscope and BP cuff up. A low blood pressure spurred Rock to call his medical office for advise, which fortunately agreed with what My Bigger Half and I had concluded: take her to the ER. We thought she was having a stroke.

After a battery of tests all we really know was that she wasn't having a stroke. What we concluded on our own is that between her infection (or infections) and dehydration, she was suffering from AMS -- Altered Mental Status. A fancy phrase to say she was confused, disoriented, and not herself.

In telling a few friends about this episode we started hearing similar stories about other seniors who suffered AMS from either infections or dehydration. I heard so many stories it hit me that this is a fairly common situation.

The simplified discussion I had with No-Nonsense was that it's vital to drink ample water during the day. "Ample" of course is subjective, and varies by location and situation. She felt the 18 oz of water she drank daily was ample, but the results of that practice, with the infection, showed otherwise to me. It's commonly accepted that 8 8-oz glasses a day is about right for most people. Through just normal living you output about 10-10.5 cups of water/day. Your food provides about 20 percent of your liquid requirements, so the balance comes from what you drink. I'm not going to get into the discussion right now about whether just any ol' liquid counts towards water replacement, but I am going to take the stance that the healthiest approach is to drink two liters of water daily.

I went on to explain to No-Nonsense that when you don't drink enough water your blood gets thick. Thick blood strains the heart because it has to work harder to push that thicker liquid through your veins. And thick blood doesn't carry as much oxygen, depriving your brain and heart of the much needed oxygen they require for healthy function. Thick, deoxygenated blood is hard on all of your internal and external organs. Drinking water also helps the body heal from the infection by flushing out their toxins.

Signs and symptoms of dehydration include diarrhea, dry mouth, dry eyes, headache, hearth palpitations, muscle cramps, nausea, not sweating, shriveled skin, stinging during urination, thirst, and vomiting. In severe dehydration you start to see confusion and weakness, moving toward coma and death if not corrected.

You can do a few simple tests yourself to try to diagnose dehydration. Check the person's orientation, vital signs, temperature, and skin responses. Orientation for adults means asking questions, assuming they are awake, that will help you judge how aware they are of their surroundings. Checking muscle tone for infants and seniors, listlessness, as well as how awake, alert, and oriented the person is, are also part of testing you can do. For infants, check the fontanel (the soft spot at the top of their head) to see if it's sunken, an indication of dehydration.

You may not have the tools to take a blood pressure, but you can take a pulse; a racing pulse, or at least one that's faster than normal, can be a sign of dehydration. And skin responses are also telling; elastic skin is hydrated skin (lightly grab a bit of skin between your fingers and let go; if the skin "tents" for several seconds the person is dehydrated). Dehydrated skin may also feel warm.

Dehydration also throws off electrolytes. That aggravates muscle weakness and heart disrhythmia, and can stress the kidneys as they strive to compensate for the electrolyte imbalance. The elderly and the young are especially at risk for dehydration.

Now, about infection and how it fits into this lesson I was given. Advanced age, staying still for a long time, and being a woman increased the chance of No-Nonsense getting a UTI. Infections can contribute to confusion, or altered mental status. Oh, by the way, some of the liquids you should avoid if you have a UTI are caffeine and alcohol. And when you have an infection you should drink plenty of fluids. In fact, drinking plenty of fluids daily helps reduce the chance for a UTI. Aha! There's the getting plenty of liquids topic again.

OK, back to the elixir of a healthy life part of this article. I'm a strong advocate of drinking filtered (not bottled) water from glass or stainless steel containers. Lots of it. I think it has magical qualities.

By lots I mean at least two liters every day. People who are in hot climates or are active should drink more than two liters to replace the water lost from the heat or due to the exercising. If you start that practice now you will be in the habit by the time you become a senior (a moving target to say the least).

Staying hydrated will help your body maintain a healthy body, one that will fight germs. Ample water in your system will help all of your organs, from your skin to your heart and brain, to your digestive organs, stay healthy, vital and working well.

When you get sick, be sure to keep drinking lots of fluids to help your body heal. Pay attention to your mental status too. If you notice that you aren't quite yourself get to a doctor or the emergency room.

We can discuss which fluids count toward your two liter per day consumption later. You can't go wrong with pure water, though. Here's to your good health through green living!

Coconut Oil - The Elixir Of Life

Coconuts are known for their immense versatility ranging from traditional uses in certain societies to modern uses, based on scientific analysis. They are the fruit of the coconut palm, and are grown abundantly in many tropical and subtropical countries like India. Coconuts are known for their large quantity of water, and when immature, they are harvested for this water which is very refreshing to drink and loaded with minerals. Mature coconuts still have a little amount of water, but by then the endosperm has formed a thick white kernel which is processed to yield oil. Coconut palms produce their first fruit in six to ten years, reaching peak production in 15-20 years. In ideal conditions, a single tree can yield 75 fruits in a year.

Coconuts are processed to yield both oil and what is called coconut milk. Coconut oil, an edible oil, is extracted from the kernel of mature coconuts. It has a high fat content, which renders it more resistant to oxidation or rancidity allowing it to last up to six months at 24 degrees C without spoiling. Its high fat content also makes its regular consumption a contentious issue, with most doctors advising against it.

However, in recent times, certain hidden benefits of coconut oil have come to light, vindicating its regular use without harm in some societies like Indian, Sri Lankan, Thai etc.

These benefits accrue to the cold pressed virgin coconut oil.

· Many skin specialists recommend coconut oil application for dry skin. As an excellent massage oil, it is a safe solution for dry and flaking skin, which are sometimes symptoms of skin problems like eczema and psoriasis. It is a soothing balm for most forms of dermatitis.

· It is excellent for hair growth and curing dandruff. It provides the essential proteins for nourishing and healing hair that is damaged.

· It contains lauric acid which is beneficial for the heart by reducing high cholesterol levels in the blood and preventing high blood pressure

· It is easy to digest. Hence it increases the metabolic rate and helps in weight loss. It is also beneficial to the thyroid and endocrine systems.

· It strengthens the immune system with its constituent antimicrobial lipids namely lauric acid, caprylic acid and capric acid which can fight harmful fungus, bacteria and viruses.

· Used as a cooking oil, it aids digestion and for the same reason above, it prevents any stomach infection caused by bacteria, fungus or viruses.

· It is believed to be effective in the treatment of pancreatitis

· It dissolves kidney stones and is considered helpful in preventing kidney and gall bladder diseases.

· Bones and teeth are also thought to benefit from coconut oil on account of it improving the body's ability to absorb calcium and magnesium.

· Coconut oil controls the blood sugar and improves the secretion of insulin. Hence it is beneficial for diabetic patients.

· There is research to suggest that the oil is beneficial for patients suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

· It is held that coconut oil is beneficial for cancer patients and people suffering from HIV.

The best coconut oil Indonesia is shipped as BIB Coconut oil (bag in box - for easy transport and storage) to various countries around the world which is waking up to the benefits of coconut oil.

Royal Jelly To Boost Your Health

Royal jelly is a nutritional food secreted by worker bees in a beehive. The substance is usually fed to all colony larvae. However, when there is a need for a new queen bee, a group of the larvae are fed large quantities of the jelly. This exclusive feeding of royal jelly is what turns the normal bees into queen bees with a longer life expectancy compared to the worker bees. The queen bees are also much larger and end up laying thousands of eggs daily. In essence, this jelly variety can also be as beneficial to humans and luckily it is now available in supplement form. You can now easily boost your health using royal jelly supplements.

The Benefits of Royal Jelly

Controls cholesterol - Research conducted on volunteers prove that eating this jelly variety greatly decreases low density lipoprotein and total cholesterol without harming the levels of good cholesterol in anyway. The supplement can be a better natural option of keeping cholesterol levels down.

Prevents osteoporosis and bone loss - Studies have also shown that it prevents osteoporosis through the enhancement of intestinal calcium absorption. The enhanced absorption of calcium then makes it possible for the same to be deposited to the bone structure also preventing bone loss.

Protects from cancer - This jelly has a way of fighting cancer through the inhibition of blood supply to tumors. It works by suppressing the effects of blood vessel formations hence easily fighting cancers especially breast cancer. A daily dose of the royal jelly supplement can protect you from cancer.

Acts as an anti-inflammatory - Considering that chronic inflammation can be the cause of heart disease as well as other degenerative diseases including arthritis and Alzheimer's, royal jelly stands to be very helpful. Tests on pro-inflammatory cytokines like IL-1, TNF-alpha and IL-6 ended up suppressing inflammatory compounds. Those with a history of Alzheimer's disease and heart disease will find the royal jelly very helpful in keeping these diseases under control.

Promotes healing - The jelly has minerals and vitamins including zinc, acetyl-choline, Vitamins B3, B2, B1, B6 and B5. They are all good for the skin and the acids contained in the jelly enhance the production of collagen thus leading to a glowing healthy skin. It shortens healing through skin renewal by nucleic acid, flavonoids, hormones and enzymes that it contains. The use of fresh royal jelly powder or supplements daily will optimize skin health.

Improves blood pressure and blood sugar - This is another one of the benefits. It decreases blood vessel constriction and this leads to lower systolic blood pressure and also reduces the insulin triglyceride levels. It can therefore be used as a functional food in the prevention of insulin resistance and blood pressure.

Protects the liver - The liver is exposed to lots of toxins from different things, including water taps and different kinds of drugs. This is one of the most important organs considering that everything that is ingested must pass through it for filtration. There is therefore a need to keep the liver healthy and clean. Royal jelly offers protective effects by flushing out the toxins.
The royal jelly supplement has many more health benefits and can therefore be a great addition to any good daily diet.

MICROWAVE – HEALTHY OR UNHEALTHY?

Between work, household duties and … further charms of everyday life often  little time is left for proper and healthy meal preparation.

We return to the house in a hurry and we reheated our dinner in the microwave to save 5 minutes and during this time we do the laundry. In worse cases, we decide to cook food in this way. Many of us in the rush of everyday life chooses the easier and faster solution without the awareness of future consequences.

Microwaves are an easy alternative to traditional preparation of food. Currently, experts opinions are divided, and many of them believe that cooking in this way is healthier and does not generate by-products, eg. AGE, as in the cooking process.

In my opinion, despite the time saved and a few other pluses preparing meals in the microwave is a far greater threat to our health. Personally, I choose other methods, like steaming or baking

 Electromagnetic radiation is the cause:

reduction of the nutritional content of products by poorer bioavailability
bowel cancer and cell degeneration of peripheral tissues and gastrointestinal tract
disorders of the digestive tract and lymph
lower efficiency of the lymphatic system and the immune
 formation of carcinogenic free radicals
a higher amount of tumor cells in the serum
depression
attention deficit disorder
insomnia
memory loss
brain damage
dizziness
high blood pressure
A number of experiments were done to confirm the harmful actions of food prepared in microwave ovens on our health.

Studies in cats ended with a result that confirms these suspicions. Animals drank water and ate meals heated in microwave ovens. After a few weeks, all died even though there were no outward signs of malnutrition.

Microscopic examination confirmed that the cells are starved tissue that did not contain any nutritional value.

If such is the result of the test carried out on animals think about the harm you place on yourself and your family using a microwave. Many women prepare in the microwave milk and other meals for their children. Foods cooked that way become worthless after a few seconds, which means that babies are not getting any minerals needed for growth. Amino acids L-proline contained in the diets of infants under the influence of microwaves in turn toxic isomers which irritate the kidneys and nervous system.

Microwaves make protein meal become toxic and therefore proteins are not absorbed by the body. This is due to the breakdown of protein structures. In addition, food cooked in this way loses all the B vitamins, which take care of our nervous system, immunity and stress, as well as vitamins C and E, and powerful antioxidants responsible for the fight against cancer and heart disease

Therefore, I strongly advise against the use of microwave ovens. If you need to use it from time to time, gain time and use it to make sure not to use plastic containers and rather defrost more food than to cook or grill. Trust me, that time saved by preparing food in the microwave, it is not worth the loss of health and well-being, and if you lack the time to cook  get your family involved

Probably mass comments will show up in defense of the microwave  oven. Personally, I share with you the conclusions of the  articles, notes and knowledge that I acquire. Simply I suggest you to consider the topic.

Some Benefits of Practicing Yoga

The benefits of yoga vary depending on the type of yoga practiced. Although many forms of yoga practice are safe, some are strenuous and may not be appropriate for everyone. With easier movements performed at a slower pace than more advanced forms of yoga, hatha yoga is perfect for beginners seeking the benefits of yoga. There are many styles of yoga asana practice including Ashtanga, Integral, Iyengar, Kundalini and Bikram.

Hatha is one of the most common styles of yoga, and some beginners find it easier to practice because of its slower pace and easier movements. Hatha yoga is one of most popular forms of yoga poses all over the world.

The Health Benefits And Medical Uses Of Yoga

The benefits of yoga extend far beyond the typical benefits of which people are aware of. Perhaps the physical health component of yoga is secondary for you and you are looking more for the spiritual health benefits. Most women are not aware of the health benefits of yoga to increase fertility. The health benefits of yoga are innumerable and so are the benefits for the mental, emotional and spiritual self. Yoga is ideal for anyone wishing to get health conscious as it addresses all areas of health, both physical and mental. Many people are still unaware of all the great benefits of practicing yoga as a way to better their health.

The Regular Practice Of Yoga Asanas

Practicing yoga is about creating balance in the body by developing both strength and flexibility. There are five key areas where you benefit when doing yoga, and each of them improves your overall well-being. As your self-awareness increases, you will become more aware of your body, taking better care of it. Most sports build muscular strength and stamina, often in specific areas of the body. One of the many joys of advancing in a yoga practice is the ability to tackle more challenging poses. The regular practice of yoga does show a benefit towards increasing lung capacity, although it is tough to say whether the improvement is completely credited to yoga.
