How to Keep a Christmas Party on a Budget

Christmas is around the corner and it is a great time to have a gathering with your friends and family during the holidays. How about throwing your own Christmas party? You can have your Christmas party within your budget as long as you follow these tips.
- Invite your guests through email or phone call. Sending physical invitations is quite expensive because you have to pay for the invitation cards and postage. To keep your cost low, you should invite your guests by phone or email.
- Confirm the number of guests at your party. Remember to make it clear to your guests when they are allowed to bring others along to the party and make sure they confirm with you the number of people are coming to the party. It is much easier to plan once you know the expected number of guests you will be having.

- DIY cooking or potluck. Doing your cooking at home is cheaper than catering. You can get your family or your kids to help you out. However, if each guest can help by bringing a dish, there will more food to eat and less expense to you. You can suggest to your guest to bring drinks, desserts or salads if you like.
- Keep the Christmas decorations simple. You don't have to decorate your whole house with the latest Christmas decorations. Make your Christmas tree as the focal point and use inexpensive pretty garlands and Christmas lights around the house. There isn't a requirement for your house to look very festive. The main thing is having the company of your friends and family during this happy occasion.
- Use the snow outside to chill your drinks. It not only saves you money but it adds a nice festive touch as well.
- Use handmade ornaments as party favors. You can rope in your kids or friends to help you to make inexpensive and pretty ornaments from plastic canvas and yarn using Christmas colors.

- For entertainment, you can screen movies, have karaoke or just make use of the TV programs of that day. If you don't have the karaoke machine, you can borrow it.
- If you decide to have Christmas party every year, you should start planning for the next year party once Christmas is over. You can enjoy great discount like 50% or more off regular prices for decorations or other Christmas items after the holidays.
Christmas parties can be fun even if you don't spend a lot of money on them. The important thing is that all of you have lots of fun and a memorable time. Don't just wait for someone to organize one. Do it yourself and have fun.

Know and Dress Your Body Type

1. Banana - this body shape means that your chest, waist and hips are almost in equal width/circumference. They say that in all the shapes, this is the most"boyish" of all, but they have an advantage because they can wear V-necks or short skirts without looking too skimpy. What to wear: Something that highlights your waist, or flatters your chest and hips. Belts are your friends because they make your waist look smaller. Partner any chiffon dress with a thick belt which makes your waist look smaller, which automatically makes your chest and hips look equally proportioned.
2. Apple - this body shape means that your upper body is in bigger proportion than in your lower body such as hips or legs. Other body shapes envy this body shape because most have 'large breasts' which make them look sexy. Since they have small proportioned legs, they can wear short skirts or shorts without looking awkward or bulky. What to wear: Something that decreases the size of your chest and arms, and flaunts your legs. Long sleeved blouses and dresses, paired with shorts or skirts are the way to go! Pair a cardigan with cute shorts or your favorite jeans.

3. Pear - This body type means that your lower body is in larger proportions than your upper body. Many women complain with this body shape because they have difficulty looking for something that will make their hips look smaller. If you know the trick to making your hips look smaller, you won't have to worry about a thing. What to wear: Look for something that hides the hips, such as a pleated dress. Any lower garment that does not hug the shape of your hips is a good idea.
4. Hourglass - congrats! You have a equally proportional chest and hips, with a small waist. This means that any clothing that highlights the smallness of your waist and highlights your chest and/or hips, will flatter your body shape. What to wear: Look for garments that hug your body shape, but make sure that the you will only choose to flatter either your upper or lower body aside from your waist. Wearing cleavage revealing tops and short bottoms will make your look cheap. The key is subtly being subtly sexy, such as a bodycon mini dress.

Remember, these are just basic tips. The principle is flaunt your positives, and pacify your negatives. Another thing, it's not just what you wear, but it's also about you, the wearer. It's how you carry yourself, being confident even if you are just wearing sweatpants and a raggy shirt.

Diet Advice - How to Lose Weight Tips

We all search for the magic formula for how to lose weight. Tips are given, attempted short term or rejected out of hand and the weight stays on. The frustration lingers.
If you are ready to take quality diet advice on how to lose weight fast or even slowly, you have to give the diet and exercise tips you are offered a chance to succeed.
This means you have to put some time and effort into how to lose weight. Tips are useless if they are ignored or not followed correctly. Weight loss is simple, but you have to really want it.
Many many overweight people get into the habit of complaining bitterly that they have tried everything and still cannot lose weight. They find themselves desperate to lose weight. The panic and stress is palpable.
So, my first piece of priceless diet advice is - stop panicking. It does not help. Panic and self made stress actually create a situation whereby you are more likely to be in a "make or break" mode of operation and are doomed to fat loss failure.

You choose to panic. Notice how panic has not worked for you? That it just gets you stirred up and cranky and frustrated? Yes?
That's because panic is an exhausting fight/flight emotion that stops your brain from being logical about your fat fueled problem.
Now choose to stop panicking and think. Let's be logical about this.
Weight gain creeps up as thigh and hip and belly fat. It is layered on slowly and relentlessly till eventually we notice we're fat. This fat gain does not happen from one day to the next.
We can't possibly expect excess body fat to melt off in a few short days when it took so long to pack it on. But we do expect this miracle falling off of the fat layers and when it doesn't happen virtually overnight, we panic.
If you are prepared to suspend your panic and frustration as well as your thoroughly modern need for instant gratification, here are some great how to lose weight tips.
1. Make an eating and exercise plan that can work and that you can be happy to commit to. In order to do this effectively, you have to become as informed as possible about healthy diet and effective exercise programs.
2. Give yourself a reasonable time in which to complete your weight loss. Aim for a target within your healthy weight range and aim to lose around 1/3 to 1/2 kilogram per week. While you may not consider this to be how to lose weight fast, it's a lot faster and more permanent weight loss than what you are doing now, isn't it?
3. Be strict with yourself, but also forgiving. You have to commit to these how to lose weight tips in order for them to work. If you make a show of being on a diet and fibbing to yourself about the frequency and intensity of your exercise, then you will never lose weight, no matter how much you moan about it.

Work a cheat meal into your weight loss program. Not a double fistful of salted peanuts every few hours that your brain conveniently forgets about, but a totally planned for and acceptable cheat meal once a week that you can enjoy with relish but without guilt.
So my exercise and diet advice to you is that you make a plan to eat right and exercise regularly, allot yourself the considerable time that this life changing enterprise deserves and make a commitment to achieving your goals.
These how to lose weight tips will work well for you if you are prepared to accept them.

Want To Look Like A Celebrity On The "Red Carpet"

Have you ever looked at someone, perhaps a relative, colleague or even a random woman walking down the street, perhaps in a sexy red dress, and thought to yourself, "They look amazing! They are perfectly put together, from head to toe." Now have you ever saw that person for the second time in a row and thought the same thing, than again, and again. When looking at that person, did you feel a twinge of envy, maybe even a flood of jealousy?

What many people don't realize is that looking like a star while working down the red carpet doesn't just have to do with the clothes. After all, we see the people who although famous, time and time again, are always somehow late to the party when it comes to looking good. You don't have to wear a $10,000 dress, in order to be the best dressed. Whether you're a plus size hourglass figure, an average apple shape, or catwalk thin. There are a minimum of 4 steps you need to take before you buy another piece of clothing. This goes for both men and women.

5. Posture. I don't care who you are, waitress or actress, or what you wear, red cocktail dress or blue jeans, if you sit, stand or walk with a slouch, say goodbye to anyone ever having style envy over you. The only excuse for hunching is a medical condition.

4. Focus. Literally. What are you focused on when you walk down the street? Are you one of those "scanners". The people that look every one up and down, as if they hope they find something wrong? Well contrary to popular belief. This doesn't make you look superior, in fact it gives off an air of insecurity and jealousy. Remember you want THEM to be jealous. This shouldn't show up on your demeanor.

3. Stride. Do you know what made James Bond, James Dean, and James Coburn the epitome of cool in their day? Stride. They walked with a confident cool demeanor, that was so a part of their persona, even if they were running for their lives, both men and women wished they were as cool. Can you picture Halle Berry at an event in a red evening gown, looking anything but stately as she walks. Matt Damon may play some interesting characters, but he still has plenty of swag especially in a tuxedo. Both cool and sexy start from the inside.

2. Eyes. No matter your age or size, they are one of your best physical assets. So make them one of your best features. Play them up. If you have red eyes, use some eye drops, if you have a tendency to frown and squint, practice opening your eyes wider. Wide eyes can be alluring, and while this might not be a natural physical characteristic for everyone, there's still no reason to purposely close them any more than necessary. Look in a mirror. Practice this. For ladies well applied mascara can go a long way, but use eyeliner sparingly.

Let me throw in a fifth step.

1. Smile. No, you don't have to walk around grinning like a Cheshire cat, but a well timed disarming smile can seal the deal. Learn how to smile best for your facial shape and features. Some people are adorable showing all of their pearly whites, others are just downright scary. Let your lips go nude or accentuate them with a sexy red color. Just choose your signature smile and whatever you do...don't smirk.

Red Carpet style isn't just for the red carpet, it's to give yourself and every day boost of confidence.

5 Fitness Gym Hacks

Athletes and fitness enthusiasts are always looking for a leg up when it comes to maximizing their time spent in the gym. Sometimes it just takes experience to learn the ins and outs of the gym, but in this case allow me to impart some knowledge.

Here are the 5 Fitness Gym Hacks:

1. Bring a Water Source With You
Hydration is one of the most overlooked wellness measures in our culture. Our lives are so busy and full of distraction that stopping to take a sip of water can easily be forgotten. Training yourself to drink water consistently throughout the day is a tough enough habit to adopt. Forcing yourself to drink water periodically while at the gym is a good place to start.
When you go to the gym, bring a water bottle with you. Don't leave it with your coat or keys, take it around with you to each workout station you go to, this will help you to remember to drink. I recommend taking a sip or two between every workout. An even better way to force yourself to drink is to buy a nice water bottle from the store. If it is a nice bottle that you paid money for you will be much more likely to remember to take it with you wherever you go. For extra performance, fill your bottle with a BCAA powder mix for an intra-workout boost to your muscular performance.

2. Wear One Extra Layer
Whether you're going for a detox workout or just trying to burn more calories, wear an extra layer of gym clothes than you would normally. Wearing an extra layer, like a sweatshirt top, sweatpants, long sleeve shirt, or a hat, can increase your body temperature while you workout. This can help you sweat more in the gym and burn more calories. If you're working out after a weekend of drinking or eating and want to clean up your system, sweating it out with an extra layer can be the best way to get your body feeling good again. Psychologically sweating more at the gym can be good too, you will feel that you worked much harder while you were there.

3. Superset your Exercises
If you have two exercises on your list that you can do on the same machine or bench it can sometimes be best to superset these exercises so that you save time and increase the intensity of your workout. When you do a superset, you combine two different exercises that you do in succession. For example, if you were to superset bench press and pushups you would do your reps on the bench press, then right after get down on the floor and do 10 pushups. The benefits of supersets are great, you increase the intensity and effectiveness of your muscles, so your body learns to work harder and grow stronger, and it can actually save time and increase the efficiency of your work outs. If you did an entire workout of 6 different supersets, you could do 12 different exercises in about the same time it would take you to do 6. This is a great technique for those days when you have limited time in the gym, but you still want to get as good a workout as possible, just do a couple of supersets and in 30 minutes you'll feel like you just worked out for an hour.

4. Give Your Workouts a Title
Planning out your workout before you get to the gym has its obvious benefits. Instead of getting to the gym and staring at the equipment for five minutes before you decide what you want to do, having a plan means you can walk in and immediately start hitting the weights. Well, here's an even more simple hack to add to your workout plan, name your workout. "Get Big Day," "Weekend Detox," or "Hump Day" are just simple examples of the titles you can give. What a title does when you put it at the top of your workout plan is it gives you a purpose to your workout. When we go to the gym with a purpose or goal in mind we tend to work the hardest, get the best results, and enjoy our workout the most. It's simple psychology but something I'm sure most of us don't already apply, when workouts begin to become monotonous and ordinary is when we tend to lose interest. Next time you write a workout, throw a title at the top of your list and see how it changes your habits.

5. Break Your Routines
Routines are great. They get us into the gym, help us figure out what to do when we are there, and generally make our lives easier. However, over time routines can cause stagnation in personal improvement both inside of the gym and outside of the gym. In the gym, repeatedly doing the same exercise routines every week can result in reduced muscle adaptation and growth in as little time as five weeks of repetition. Having routines in your lifestyle that you carry on for months at a time can also result in similar effects for your psychological and physiological health. Overcome routines and muscle growth stagnation by simply recognizing when you've been doing the same types of workouts or exercises for a while, and change it. For life routines, changing the route you take to work or the time you go to bed can have a great impact on the path of your day.
