Body Detoxification and Why Is It Important!

In today's world, in which is organically grown food, active lifestyle, outdoor activity and clean environment - water, air, soil - rather an exception than rule, where we have in almost every store,
enormous amounts of industrially produced and industrially processed food, where food is packed in packing materials which are anything but natural, biodegradable and men friendly, enters into the body a lot of substances that simply shouldn't enter.
Even if a man is eating properly and exercises in accordance with his nutrogenomical profile and regularly applies all the methods that are successful in stress management, it is impossible to completely avoid all the pollution factors that are out there and are influencing on our body and therefore health.
With ageing our body is becoming more and more polluted and therefore its performance starts to decline.
So the presence of toxins in our body is automatically and completely needles, leading to so-called "old-age diseases".
So in order to keep your organism to function properly and that you will stay younger for longer, it is advisable to detoxicate your body from time to time.
In any case, it is recommended to do the body detoxification at least twice a year: in autumn, when the sun passes through the sign of Scorpio (the last week of October and the first three weeks in November), and in spring, in the last six weeks before Easter.

In the case of certain diseases or health problems caused by long-term toxification of the organism, or before a person is considering to undertake an intensive weight loss diet, it is advisable to detoxicate your body once outside this period. This of course should be consulted with a doctor or other qualified professional in the field of health care.
To maximize the efficiency of detoxification, we should begin our diet during the full moon and new moon.

The Worst Foods That Make You Gain Weight

In your quest for responsible weight loss, knowing what to eat and what not to eat are essential. Aside from physical activity, diet is the second most important thing. In the previous post, I discussed the top foods for weight loss. I also promised that I would let you know the worst foods that make you gain weight.

The list of food below are terrible for two reasons, they have very little or no nutritional value and they are high calorie. Without further delay, here are the worst foods that make you gain weight with an explanation of why they are not good.

Worst Food #1- Avoid any processed foods. There are chemical and preservatives, which the body considers foreign. In many cases, the preservatives are not broken down in your digestive system and actually throws it out of whack.

Worst Food #2 - Refined sugar. This is not to say that you can't have a slice of pie or candy. But be aware that for the same amount of calories, you could eat a much larger quantity of "non- junk food" that actually gives your body more than just a short sugar rush.

Worst Food #3 - Stay away from foods with high sodium content. It doesn't matter if its pizza, pudding, or a steak dinner. Be watchful of any food with a lot of sodium because not only does it swell up the size of the fat cells and it makes you retain water. Not to mention, a high sodium diet also increases your chances of developing high blood pressure.

Worst Food #4 - These next few are certainly no surprise to most of you. High fructose corn syrup, trans-fat and hydrogenated oils. You also want to avoid saturated fats as well. The high fructose corn syrup, trans- fat and hydrogenated oils throw your metabolic system into chaos and can cause you to actually feel hungrier, making you eat more. Saturated fats clogs up your arteries and are total waist busters.

Worst Food #5 - Avoid full fat foods and drinks such as bacon and whole milk. They are loaded with saturated fat and needless calories. Find substitutes for these traditionally high fat foods like turkey bacon, low-fat cheeses or low-fat milk.

Worst Food #6 - Limit your intake of salad dressing and sauces. They are full of useless calories, not to mention that they are loaded with salt and sugars. If you have to have condiments, make sure they are served on the side and not plopped on your food.

Worst Food#7 - Stay away from white flour products because they are refined carbohydrates. They are just another form of sugar. So when you eat them, they will only serve to skyrocket your insulin levels, which leaves you craving for more sugar when you crash. Avoid this endless cycle like the plague.

Worst Food #8 - Anything fried is simply not good. There's tons of fat and breading. A potato, chicken or a zucchini can be just as bad as a red velvet cake if you throw it in the fryer. Enough said on that one.

Worst Food #9 - Alcohol and soft drinks. Aside from giving you a quick flavor thrill and maybe a buzz, it is best to limit these as well. Beer especially is full of calories, fat and carbs and soft drinks are high sugar and high on calories. A special note be careful with diet sodas and fruit juices. In regards to diet sodas, the artificial sweeteners have been known to spike hunger cravings. Fruit juices for the most part tend to be high in sugar and carbs. If you have time, get a juicer and make your own juice or just eat the piece of fruit.

Well, there you have it, the worst foods that make you gain weight. Perhaps, all of these you may have know these. But if you are actually serious about losing weight, it is important that you take this knowledge and apply it to your daily life.

Be healthy and have a fantastic day.

Top 10 Worst Foods To Health

As people's lives get busier, concerns about food and health get put in the back burner. People would rather have food that is fast to prepare, appealing and delicious, and don't think about how these foods may affect their health. However, keeping your diet healthy is not all that difficult. Even if you can't do without certain foods in your life, at least stay away from these top ten worst foods to eat as much as possible.

1. Processed Food - Although they're extremely easy to prepare and convenient, these babies are loaded with preservatives, which can increase a person's likelihood of having cancer. A diet of processed foods will give you loads of salt and fats, but none of the nutrients that your body really needs.

2. Frozen Dinners - When you go home at night, the last thing you'd want to do is to cook a meal. Most people settle for microwaving frozen dinners as it's both cheaper and easier. These dinners are filled with artificial flavorings and preservatives so they can last longer in your fridge. They are also low in nutrients, and high in calories.

3. Potato Chips - People think that munching on these is good for their health because technically, potatoes are good for the body. However, these not only contain bad carbohydrates, they are also filled with a carcinogen called acryl amide.

4. Doughnuts - When it comes to food and health, majority of pastries raise a red alarm, but none are as deadly as the doughnut. Yes, doughnuts are extremely tasty and easy to munch on, but they are also loaded with sugar, especially the glazed variety. A large glazed doughnut on its own already contains 250-300 calories and 10-20 grams of fat.

5. Low Fat Labels - Beware of foods that say they're low fat. Most manufacturers of calorie-loaded foods often market low-fat versions of their wares so that health conscious people will be more comfortable when buying them. However, these may destroy your diet even more since you're more likely to eat more because you don't feel the guilt associated with binging on fatty foods.

6. Carbonated Drinks - Soda is delicious and it quenches one's thirst really well. However, do you know that each can of soda contain no less than 10 teaspoons of sweeteners like sugar? Since these drinks are carbonated, they also increase the likelihood of gastric pain, hyper acidity, ulcer, and even pancreatic cancer. Chugging several cans per day also puts you at risk for diabetes and cardiovascular disorders.

7. Margarine - Margarine brings a plethora of food and health issues simply because they are filled with Tran's fats, which is the main culprit for bad cholesterol. A diet filled with margarine will not only pack on the pounds, it can also hurt your cardiovascular system and give you loads of health issues like hypertension and heart disease.

8. Sugar-Free Food - In the same way that low-fat labels can misguide you; sugar-free food is also extremely dangerous because you tend to eat more of these because you don't worry about the sugar content. Also, since they don't have any sugar, most companies use artificial and chemical preservatives to give flavor to these otherwise bland foods, making it dangerous to your health.

9. Liquid Meals - Manufacturers say that drinking these is equivalent to one full meal, so if you're on a diet or don't have time to eat, this will still give you the calories you need. However, there is no substitute for real food, and although these may contain calories, they don't contain the proper nutrition your body needs daily.

10. Pork Crackles - Tasty and delectable, these pork crackles are absolutely dangerous to people who are conscious about their health. Deep fried and salted fatty pig skin is filled with bad fats, salt, and should be avoided at all cost.

Now, it's not bad to have these once in a while, but if you're really meticulous about food and health, there are a lot of alternatives out there to keep you from grabbing one of these the next time you go to your favorite supermarket or restaurant. Remember, health is a worthy investment, and it all starts with what you eat.

Benefits of Gluten Free Foods for Your Body

Gluten and Celiac
People with celiac disease are advised to stay away from food products with gluten. This is the reason why many health food stores and groceries offer gluten free foods. Gluten is a type of protein that is found in wheat, cereals and some grains. Its purpose is to maintain elasticity during fermentation, which prevents foods from having a sticky texture.

GLUTEN FREE FOOD
Individuals who suffer from celiac disease can't process gluten. The illness can lead to complications such as infertility and gastrointestinal troubles because gluten is a harmful invader to their body. Their bodies' immune system creates a response that damages the small intestines and results in several nutritional deficiencies and gastrointestinal issues.
Foods for People without Celiac Disease
Gluten is found in most processed foods. Going on a diet means avoiding eating processed foods, which often contain a lot of empty calories anyway. Avoiding processed foods becomes a natural way to lose weight.
There are people who are sensitive to gluten but don't suffer from celiac disease. They would feel better with a diet consisting of gluten free foods. Gluten sensitivity is a common condition where people have adverse reactions to gluten. Some of its symptoms include stomach pain, bloating, fatigue, and pain in joints and bones.
When going on a diet, you eat more vegetables and fruits. They are healthy food sources without starch. A gluten free diet eliminates unhealthy oils and unhealthy carbohydrates from your system. It also reduces the risk of some cancers, diabetes, and even heart disease. The diet can also help protect from germs and viruses.
A gluten free diet can help you lose weight. It is composed of gluten free foods that have essential carbohydrates, proteins and fat. You just have to keep the right portion size and choose starches without gluten such as sweet potatoes and brown rice.
Choosing the Right Foods
It is easier to find foods without gluten today compared to the past. But not all of them are healthy as some contain high amounts of cholesterol and saturated fats. Since people with celiac disease can safely eat lean meat, fish, vegetables, fruits and low-fat dairy products, a gluten free diet will be made up of natural foods.
If you have symptoms of celiac disease, or other symptoms of gluten sensitivity, then it will be beneficial to start eating gluten free foods. Though it is a great natural weight loss method, food choices will be limited because gluten is found in so many foods. You have to give up on breakfast cereals, breads, crackers, pastas, and most processed foods with gluten. You can also decrease your nutrient intake without a properly balanced diet when choosing gluten free. Therefore, it is ideal to consult with a dietician before going on a gluten free diet.
